Gulmarg Arrival

Two years ago we sent a group of eleven like-minded travelers and skiers, on a goodwill mission from one winter resort to another, to share our love of the mountains and skiing with a culture who has carved out a life from the foothills of the Pir Panjal range of the Himalaya. Gulmarg, Kashmir, India. Following are 12 clips, all out-takes compiled by local filmmakers Arden Oksannen and Trask McFarland for a film series they were producing called C.A.S.T.E.L. Although these clips have been on the web before, I always felt they never got the play they should have. I think they're timeless, not because Cloudveil got props for outfitting the Gulmarg ski patrol, but because the trip encompasses everything a ski or climbing or fishing trip should be, an educational and cultural adventure.
