The Shack

The Shack, located in the Green Mountain's valley in VT, houses a mostly transient crowd of two-plankers and knuckle-draggers. Some hold day jobs, but we are mainly dirt farmers and snow pushers working just enough to gas the car and fill the belly. This 450 sq. ft. dwelling sleeps 7, offers no plumbing or electricity and the concrete slab floor heats up by May. The Shack was officially "unshuttered" in the winter of 2000 in -40 degree conditions. The "fellowship of the ring" serves as our open-air outhouse/think-tank and offers majestic views of the valley.
