Pace™ ECO Base is a recycled polyester knit with bamboo charcoal nanoparticles infused into the next-to-skin yarns. Bamboo charcoal delivers enhanced performance naturally through: de-odorizing, Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal; Breathable and dry; Thermal regulation; Absorbtion and emission of Far Infared Energy; Green; and Wash Durable.
De-odorizing: Bamboo-charcoal has a porous strucure similar to that found in charcoal gas filters, so Pace ECO Base fabric absorbs and decomposes benzene, phenol, methyl alcohol, and other harmful substances.
Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal: Bamboo-charcoal retains the natural antibacterial and antifungal traits of natural bamboo. It is also a bateriostatic material: it inhibits bacterial metabolism, and causes fewer allergic skin reaction than other fibers sterilized with antimicrobial agents.
Breathable and dry: Bamboo-charcoal yarn has a cross-section filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes, so compared to other conventional fabrics, it has better moisture absorption and ventilation. Cloudveil's CORE base layers can absorb and disperse sweat fast, making them feel dry and comfortable. They also don't stick to your skin.
Thermal Regulation: Due to the porous nature of bamboo charcoal, our base layers not only feel dry during hot days, but they are also excellent insulators against the cold.
Absorption and emission of Far Infrared Energy: Bamboo-charcoal nano particles can absorb far infrared energy from the enviornment and emit it to help cell activation promoting blood circulation and general health in the long run.
Green: Pace ECO Base fabric isn't made with harmful chemicals, and so causes few if any allergic reactions.
Wash Durable: Because the bamboo-charcoal nano particles are embedded in the fabric rather than simply coated on the surface, you can wash CORE Base Layer pieces without diminishing the effectiveness of the bamboo charcoal's special qualities.
Core base layers are designed to be worn next-to-skin when moisture management is important. The PACE Eco Base fabric pulls moisture away from your skin and diffuse it over a broader area so it can be transported to the outer layer. It dries quickly when it's exposed to the air, and the bamboo charcoal will keep it smelling nice. Wear it under a shell or insulation layer when it's cold, or wear it all by itself when you're out for a warmer-weather run.
